In memory of Roland

This page is dedicated to my father, Roland Lionel Whitehead, who very sadly passed away on 28th February 2011, his 75th Birthday.

My father was a true gentleman and friend of so many, he served the local community in his capacity as funeral director for over forty years. A larger than life character, trustworthy, loyal, dependable and above all generous. A loving father, wonderful grandad and loyal Rotarian. He was a hard taskmaster, as Eddie and I learned form the start, “Always be punctual, organised, thorough and above all pay attention to detail,” he would say. He was a consummate professional of the Old School and a great mentor, it has been an honour and privilege to work along side him and the legacy he has left will continue in the same vein with the very same values and priorities throughout his following generations.
